About the Role

As the Finance Operations Director, you will lead and manage a team to ensure efficient financial processes across British Cycling. This role presents an opportunity for someone who is comfortable with operations and production of accounts, while working strategically with the Business Services Director.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Finance team in delivering a high-quality finance accounting service to the organisation.
  • Work with the Business Services Director on complex business case developments and funding proposals, challenging assumptions and ensuring robust financial modelling.
  • Develop financial reporting processes to provide the business with information required to monitor financial targets.
  • Lead and manage team performance, creating an environment where people have clear expectations and receive performance feedback and support.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors to facilitate a smooth year-end audit process.
  • Review and update internal financial procedures and controls, maintaining the Financial Procedures Manual.
About You

We are looking for someone with CCAB recognised qualification - ACA, ACCA, CIMA and significant proven post qualification experience in a similar role. Experience of leading a finance team is also essential. Knowledge of membership organisations or sport's governing body and government funding would be desirable but not essential.
