We are seeking an experienced Clinical Psychiatric Specialist to join our Older Adult Community Psychiatry team in Blackpool. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic and supportive team, providing high-quality care to patients with complex mental health needs. As a Clinical Psychiatric Specialist, you will be responsible for assessing and treating patients, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, and contributing to the development of our mental health services.

Main Duties

This role involves working with the Older Adult Community Mental Health Team (CMHT), Rapid Intervention and Treatment Team (RITT), and other teams aligned to the provision of older adult mental health services on the Fylde Coast. You will be supported in working towards Section 12 approval, enabling you to join the Out of Hours On Call rota, with additional remuneration.

As a full-time Clinical Psychiatric Specialist, you will work 10 Programmed Activities (PAs) each week, equivalent to 40 hours. Eight PAs will be dedicated to clinical commitments, and the remaining two will focus on activities supporting your professional development.
