About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our Technical Services Team in Fareham. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing small to medium-sized products across various sectors, including marine, defence, energy, healthcare, and transport.

Your expertise will be utilized to design industrial, mobile, and rugged computers and 19" racks and associated fittings. You will also be responsible for developing electrical design solutions for specific project requirements, preparing and presenting design reviews, prototype build, and supporting design verification testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical systems for multiple projects of moderate and major size
  • Experience in designing AC and DC systems to various compliance standards
  • Use of best practices for the design of electrical hardware solutions from concept to production
  • Experience with electrical drawing software, preferably SolidWorks Electrical or similar
  • Experience of working on military or aerospace projects, or other highly regulated industries
  • Ability to present specific aspects of engineering assignments at project meetings and reviews
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related qualification
  • Significant experience in an engineering department working on the design of electrical aspects of multiple projects
  • Experience of designing AC and DC systems to various compliance standards
  • Essential capabilities, including design for manufacture and testing, simulation, prototyping, and analysis
