Senior Laboratory Pathologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Laboratory Pathologist to join our team at Labcorp. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in laboratory animal pathology and a strong background in evaluating pathology data from toxicology studies.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

• Job Responsibilities:

1. Provide comprehensive drug development solutions for various industries, utilizing expertise in anatomic and clinical pathology requirements in toxicity studies.
2. Perform microscopic evaluation and interpretation of tissue sections from toxicology studies, correlating findings with necropsy, organ weight, and clinical pathology findings.
3. Evaluate and interpret clinical pathology data from toxicology studies, collaborating with anatomic pathologists to correlate clinical pathology and histopathologic findings.
4. Compile pathology narrative reports of microscopic and gross pathology findings, communicating the significance of pathologic findings to study directors, clients, and other individuals.
5. Maintain working relationships with internal and external clients to ensure client satisfaction with the Pathology department deliverables.

• At least 5 years of experience in laboratory animal pathology.
• Demonstrated expertise in evaluating pathology data from acute, subchronic, and chronic rodent toxicology studies, as well as studies with dogs, primates, and other laboratory species.
• Veterinary degree or equivalent.
