Fire and Security Systems Specialist

Sanctuary Group is seeking a skilled Fire and Security Operative to join their team. As a Fire and Security Operative, you will be responsible for carrying out routine maintenance, repairs, and installations on life safety and security systems, ensuring properties are safe and compliant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out servicing, remedial works, and installation of fire alarms, extinguishers, and security systems, including warden call
  • Maintaining systems, including fire alarms, fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, fire shutters, and curtains, to ensure safe and compliant properties
  • Resolving problems or setting into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed
  • Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and stocks are replenished as needed

Requirements:

  • Qualified to or undertaking -1, BS5839-6, NICEIC Fire Detection and Fire Alarm Systems Unit 1, NICEIC Fire Detection and Fire Alarm Systems Unit 5, NICEIC Fire Detection and Fire Alarm Systems Unit 6, NVQ Level 3
  • Experience of undertaking a similar role, working in a fire and security environment
  • Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation
  • Knowledge of analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence

Role Salary is dependent on successful candidate's home location as below:

  • South East - £37,794 per annum (rising to £39,784 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
  • Elsewhere in the UK - £35,995 per annum (rising to £37,889 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
