We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Composite Design Engineer to join our team. This role presents a unique opportunity to lead the design and development of primary and secondary composite structures for demonstrators, prototypes, and aircraft.
As a subject matter expert in composite materials and manufacturing processes, you will provide critical support to design team members, ensuring seamless integration of advanced composite technologies into the overall aircraft architecture.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in composite design, with expertise in optimising structures for performance, weight, and efficiency. They will also be able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including aerodynamics, structural analysis, and manufacturing, to ensure the successful implementation of composite components.
In addition to these technical skills, the successful candidate will have a strong foundation in engineering fundamentals, with proficiency in composite 3D modelling using industry-leading tools such as Siemens NX, Fibresim, and CATIA composite workbench. They will also have a basic understanding of EASA Part 21 and FAA regulations relevant to design processes.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute towards the design and hands-on manufacturing of prototypes in an aerospace start-up environment. The ideal candidate will also possess leadership experience in leading small to medium-sized teams as a lead or head of design.
We offer a competitive salary package of £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. In addition, we provide opportunities for professional growth and development, as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, pension scheme, and paid time off.
