About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Development Engineer to join our Net Zero Engineering Team in Warwick. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in driving forward the energy transition and creating a brighter, more sustainable future for all.

Your primary responsibility will be to identify and drive new and complex opportunities for National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET) growth, utilizing your technical expertise to convert them into tangible solutions and services.

You will develop engineering strategies, leading a small team, mentoring and developing them to achieve the best results. You will also conduct power system analysis, specialist solution design, and lead engineering activities that convert existing, new, and complex opportunities into prototype innovative and 'first-time' engineering solutions.

What You'll Need
  • A Power Systems background with experience in the electrical or utilities industry.
  • A STEM degree with experience conducting power system studies and building models that provide insights into long-term strategies.
  • Experience managing a solution-focused team to deliver results, strong stakeholder management, analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of how the electricity transmission industry works and one or more programming languages.
What You'll Get
