Job Description:Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement engaging Physical Education lessons for students
  • Assess and monitor students' progress in physical activities
  • Organise and supervise sports events and competitions
  • Promote physical fitness and overall well-being among students
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the school's physical education curriculum
Required Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Specialism in Physical Education
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or related field
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Physical Education
Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in Physical Education
  • Experience working with children and young adults
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Thorough understanding of the national curriculum for Physical Education
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Strong classroom management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Additional coaching qualifications in sports such as football, basketball, or athletics
  • First Aid certification
Working Conditions:
  • Work predominantly within a school setting
  • Regular interaction with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Potential involvement in extracurricular activities and sports clubs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
