About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Design Engineer to join our team at Owen Daniels. As a Senior Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and certifying composite structures and products within a highly regulated industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design aerospace composite and hybrid structures using 3D CAD software.
  • Work as part of an integrated project team to ensure customers' requirements are met.
  • Develop and implement design methodologies and best practices for composite materials.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers.

Requirements:

  • Education to degree/HND level in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
  • Demonstration of competence in the design of fibre reinforced composite materials.
  • Familiarity with aerospace or similar industry composite design methodologies and best practices.
  • Proficient in the use of CAD systems.
  • Good communication, report writing, and presentation skills.
