About the Role:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Senior Teaching Assistant to join our team at a school in Crawley. The successful candidate will have a passion for Physical Education and Special Educational Needs (SEN) and will be responsible for supporting teachers in the classroom, planning and delivering lessons, and working with students with a range of learning difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in the classroom, including planning and delivering lessons
  • Work with students with a range of learning difficulties, including those with autism spectrum disorders and learning disabilities
  • Organize off-site activities, including trips and expeditions
  • Host events and visitors, including parents and other stakeholders
  • Participate in county-wide events and activities

Requirements:

  • Qualifications in teaching or a related field
  • Experience working with students with SEN and learning difficulties
  • Ability to plan and deliver lessons, including those with a focus on PE
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
