Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Tyre Fitter to join our team at Costco Wholesale UK. As a Tyre Fitter, you will be responsible for assisting members in selecting the correct tyres for their vehicles and fitting them in accordance with company policy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Locate member vehicles in the tyre shop parking area, list any body damage on the service order, and drive the vehicle into the install bay.
  • Remove the wheel using an impact gun, follow safety and security procedures, and roll the wheel to the mounting machine.
  • Attach a new valve stem, mount the new tyre on the wheel, and fill the tyre to the appropriate air pressure.
  • Operate the automatic balance machine to get a reading of the proper weight and placement to balance the wheel.
  • Re-attach the wheels to the vehicle using an impact gun and hand torque wrench according to Tyre Shop procedures.
  • Alert the supervisor or manager to complete a 9-point check and authorize vehicle release.
  • Clean the install area by sweeping, mopping, spraying, and wiping.
  • Assist with sales and stock tyres in the sales area in accordance with the Tyre Shop Manager's merchandising plan.
  • Assist with front-end duties as necessary and assist in other departments of the warehouse as necessary.

Requirements:

  • GCSE standard or equivalent preferred
  • Full, clean driving licence
  • Willingness to undertake Michelin training
