Job Title: Credit ControllerWe are seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join our Finance team at PIB Group. As a Credit Controller, you will be responsible for managing customer accounts, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts, and resolving billing queries.
Key Responsibilities:- Chase debt by telephone and email to reduce debtor days.
- Ensure payment of customer invoices is within agreed payment terms.
- Process and generate reminder letters and monthly statements.
- Resolve billing queries both internally and externally.
- Investigate and resolve queries relating to non-payment of invoices.
- Make recommendations for legal action to collect monies owed if necessary.
- Ensure notes and actions are clearly recorded in the credit control system.
- Communicate and manage customer repayment plans as agreed with management.
- Work well within a team and alone.
- Use judgment and act upon it to recognize where advice and support is needed to resolve account problems.
- Build and maintain relationships resulting in payments being on time and/or early.
- Suspend services where necessary, ensuring the overdue debt is controlled.
- Allocate cash accurately to customer accounts.
- Produce aged debtor reports to management as and when required.
- Supply ad hoc analysis on request.
- Undertake additional tasks and project work across the finance team.
- Previous experience of working in a finance department with exposure to credit control.
- Good IT skills to include Excel, Word, Outlook, and accounting systems.
- AAT part qualified (desirable).
