Senior Audit Technical Writer

My client, a leading provider of information services and solutions for professionals in accounting, audit, tax, H&S, and business, is seeking an experienced auditor with strong technical knowledge and excellent writing skills to join their expert and enthusiastic audit and accounting (A&A) author team.

Job Purpose:

The A&A technical writer team is responsible for creating and reviewing content for the A&A segment. They collaborate with commercial, sales, IT, and editorial teams to innovate the way content is delivered to maximize value for clients. The team also delivers technical and product training and participates in external technical committees, such as the ICAEW.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  1. Take ownership of certain audit and practice management products.
  2. Support commercial and content partnerships, for example, with audit software companies.
  3. Lead transformation projects for content, products, and processes.
    1. Develop commentary, insights, and analysis.
    2. Utilize tools including audit programs, model accounts, and disclosure checklists.
    3. Create online training materials (podcasts, videos, recording audio, preparing slides and notes).
    4. Contribute articles for news updates, Accountancy Daily, and social media.
Requirements:
  1. Qualified ACA, ACCA, FCA, or FCCA.
  2. Experience working within an accounting practice environment, typically within the audit function.
  3. Professional knowledge of and strong technical grounding in auditing and IFRS and UK GAAP accounting, ethics, quality, and risk.
  4. Proven writing and presentation skills, including the ability to convey complex themes in an accessible way to various audiences.
  5. Strong Excel, Word, and IT skills and experience in audit software.
  6. Confident in helping clients.
