Aspire People is seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) educator to join their team in Wollaton and surrounding areas. This full-time position involves working with children in EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) and KS1 (Key Stage 1). The successful candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent and experience working with children with SEN, particularly within EYFS or KS1.

Job Description:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and implement strategies to support the progress and development of students.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing feedback and adapting teaching methods as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children with SEN, particularly within EYFS or KS1.
  • A strong understanding of early childhood development and special education practices.

Compensation Package:

  • A competitive salary based on experience, estimated at £35,000 - £50,000 per annum.
  • Long-term contract with the option of extending or 'as and when'.
  • Opportunity to work in a school with a strong community presence.
  • Willingness to undertake a DBS check through Aspire People or be on the update service.
