Job Title: Senior Associate - Patent Litigation

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Associate to join our Intellectual Property and Technology group in London. As a Senior Associate, you will play a key role in managing and developing client relationships, supervising and training junior team members, and contributing to the firm's global patent litigation practice.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a team of experienced patent litigators, advising clients on complex patent and trade secret disputes, including UK litigation and ADR. You will have the opportunity to work on a broad range of innovation-related work, including patent and trade secret non-contentious advisory, patent and trade secret transactions, and patent and trade secret related corporate support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop client relationships, identifying new business opportunities and delivering exceptional client service.
  • Supervise and train junior team members, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
  • Contribute to the firm's global patent litigation practice, working on complex patent and trade secret disputes, including UK litigation and ADR.
  • Work on patent and trade secret non-contentious advisory, including IP audits, advising on policies, procedures, and contractual terms to maximise returns on R&D investment and minimise patent risk.
  • Work on patent and trade secret transactions, drafting and negotiating assignments, licences, R&D agreements, and JVs.
  • Work on patent and trade secret related corporate support, including due diligence, SPA contractual terms, IP aspects of employment agreements, patent assignments, and patent licensing.
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Associate with a strong background in patent litigation. You will have a deep understanding of the technical issues that are key to our clients and be able to demonstrate a commercially focused approach. You will also have excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect, influence, and collaborate at all levels across multiple geographies and practices.
