Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Compliance Professional to join our client's Engineering Operations department in Coventry. As a key member of the Powertrain Test Operations Team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with legislation and operational requirements.

This position requires a strong health, safety, and compliance professional who can engage with stakeholders, ensure tasks are completed safely, and maintain high levels of internal and external audit compliance. The ideal candidate will have experience working with multi-functional engineering teams, a good understanding of risk assessment processes, and the ability to apply this process to new and novel engineering activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the EO10 Health, Safety, and Compliance Team to ensure departmental compliance with internal and external processes
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and audits in the correct manner, reporting findings on a weekly scorecard
  • Collaborate with test facility operational teams to enhance knowledge transfer and support the timely completion of accident investigations
  • Track and close issues, collate data, and develop slide packs for quarterly feedback on departmental status and safety performance

Skills and Qualifications:

  • A General Certificate (Level 3) Health and Safety Qualification (e.g., NEBOSH certificate)
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Health and Safety and compliance in an engineering/technical field
  • A 9001 auditor qualification

Estimated Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
