Laboratory Technician Position

A science support specialist is required to join a vibrant and forward-thinking secondary school in Southwark.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and prepare equipment and materials for practical science lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
- Maintain lab equipment, ensuring it is clean, well-maintained, and stored safely.
- Organise and manage chemical and equipment inventories, including ordering new supplies as needed.
- Assist teachers during science practicals, providing hands-on support to students when necessary.
Requirements:
- A DBS on the Update Service is essential for this role.
- Prior experience as a Science Technician is preferred but not essential. Training will be provided to candidates who demonstrate enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and an understanding of laboratory health and safety practices are required.
- A keen interest in science and a commitment to supporting a dynamic educational environment are essential.
