We are seeking a meticulous Credit Controller to manage our company's credit policies, ensuring timely payments and minimising bad debts.
Duties and Responsibilities- Contact customers regarding overdue payments using effective communication skills
- Utilise accounting software for accurate record-keeping and data analysis
- Perform data entry tasks to update accounts payable information and maintain accurate financial records
- Monitor and chase outstanding debts through proactive telemarketing techniques
- Proven experience in credit control or a related financial role
- Proficiency in using accounting software for managing accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Strong data entry skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of accounts payable processes and debt collection procedures
- Sales ledger experience and proficiency in using accounting software
- Ability to provide accurate information on a timely basis and manage multiple tasks
- Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail
- Organised and able to manage workload and meet deadlines
- Educated to GCSE grades A to C standard or equivalent
- AAT qualification or equivalent is desirable but not essential
- A minimum of 3 years' experience of working within an accounts environment is essential
- Good computing skills including Word and Excel
