At Team Consulting, we're seeking a skilled Electronics Consultant to join our team of experts in medical device and healthcare product development. As an Electronics Consultant, you'll play a crucial role in designing and developing innovative products for the healthcare and medical industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the entire product development lifecycle, from early design to manufacture
- Support business development activities relevant to our offering
- Understand and capture clients' needs, translating them into practical product requirements
- Be responsible for electronics hardware design documentation, including requirements capture, architecture, design, and test protocols
- Stay up-to-date with new technology and apply it to medical systems
- Participate in cross-discipline medical device product development projects, including brainstorms, risk assessments, design development, design testing, sales meetings, and presentations
Requirements:
- Good degree (2:1 or above) in Electronic Engineering or a relevant subject
- 5+ years' experience and a track record in developing electronic hardware
- Low noise analogue circuit design
- Digital design for embedded applications
- PCB layout experience
- Design for electrical safety and EMC
- Working effectively with external board manufacturing and assembly services
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with Altium Designer for schematic and PCB design
- Familiarity with FPGA development in Verilog
- Experience in developing medical devices
- Familiarity with ISO 13485 and IEC 60601
Leadership and Consultancy Skills:
- Structured and methodical problem-solving
- Excellent communication skills, including communicating to technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to work effectively on varied products across clients, both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent analytical skills, including data gathering, analysis, and presentation of conclusions
- Understanding and experience of working to strict quality management systems
