Highly Specialized Mental Health Therapist Opportunity

About the Role
This dynamic position offers a unique opportunity to work collaboratively with a friendly, kind, and caring team, valuing psychological mindedness. The successful candidate will possess a degree in Counselling or Clinical Psychology and registration with the relevant professional body. Postgraduate qualification in at least one psychological therapy (CBT, EMDR, DBT, CAT) with current accreditation/registration is required for those without a Counselling/Clinical Psychology core profession qualification.
Main Responsibilities
The appointed individual will deliver high-quality, evidence-based specialist psychological assessments and interventions to children and young people and their families/carers. They will work with complex presentations suitable for psychological therapy, utilizing advanced psychological knowledge and clinical experience to adapt approaches for children with neurodevelopmental or intellectual disabilities. The post holder will deliver interventions via various modalities, including group settings, face-to-face sessions, and e-clinics, while contributing to systematic clinical governance through case discussion, supervision, and training.
Requirements
- A Health or Social Care professional qualification (RMN/RN(MH), Dip OT, Doctorate in Counselling or Clinical Psychology, Degree in Social Work, or equivalent)
- Current registration with the relevant professional body for the core profession
- Evidence of relevant continuing professional development in psychological therapies
