As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing onsite customer support to our range of machinery within the region, with a primary focus on keeping the machinery in peak operating condition through scheduled maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
Key Responsibilities:- Investigate and diagnose technical problems with equipment, including climbing on top and underneath heavy plant machinery.
- Service a wide variety of machines both on and off site, ensuring compliance with relevant procedures and safety standards.
- Ability to work independently to troubleshoot and solve problems, with a solid mechanical aptitude and full driving license.
- Complete job cards to a high standard promptly and within a given timeframe, and complete paperwork and timesheets in a timely manner.
- Request parts efficiently and effectively, and provide an excellent level of customer service.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external customers, and supervise apprentices when required.
- Ensure compliance with relevant procedures when repairing and inspecting equipment, and ensure work/personal equipment complies with all safety standards.
- Present a professional image at all times, and take responsibility for health and safety of self, colleagues, and customers in line with the Company Health and Safety Policy.
- Ensure tools are safe and legal to use.
- 3+ years in a similar role and industry, with a solid mechanical aptitude and full driving license.
- Investigate and diagnose technical problems, which involve climbing on top and underneath the heavy plant machinery.
- Ability to service a wide range of heavy tracked plant machines.
- Salary: £15- £18 an hour depending on experience.
- Working hours: 40 hours a week.
- Overtime available 1.5x.
- Holiday Package: 22 Days Holiday + 8 Bank Holidays.
- Company van, mobile, uniform, and laptop.
- Death in Service: 3 x annual salary.
- Health Plan, Cycle to work Scheme, sick pay, free legal advice, and employee incentives.
- Pension 4% EE 5% ER.
