About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Birchwood, Warrington. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and designers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality mechanical engineering solutions that meet our clients' needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement mechanical engineering solutions that meet our clients' requirements, ensuring safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Lead and manage a team of engineers and designers, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical engineering solutions with other disciplines.
  • Develop and maintain technical expertise in mechanical engineering, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards.
Requirements
  • Significant post-graduate work experience in a highly regulated industry, preferably in the nuclear industry.
  • Degree qualification or equivalent in a relevant technical or business discipline.
  • Detail design knowledge of mechanical mechanisms or bespoke equipment.
  • Demonstrated record of maintaining own skills and knowledge at the forefront of the field.
  • Knowledge of delivering against legislative, regulatory, and company policy standards and procedures.
