Structural Steel Estimator Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our clients estimating team at Engineering @ 365 Ltd.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare tender bids by analysing customer requirements and providing accurate material, fabrication, and labour costs.
  • Negotiate and secure tender wins.
  • Attend client meetings alongside Directors.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, including Quantity Surveyors and Commercial teams.
  • Build relationships with premier suppliers, researching and procuring materials, equipment, and labour.
  • Prepare accurate take-offs from architectural and structural drawings.
  • Negotiate prices with suppliers and sub-contractors.
  • Manage the estimating and commercial aspects of the tender process.
  • Liaise with the Drawing Office to ensure accurate and timely delivery of tender documents.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of Structural Steelwork.
  • Knowledge of Architectural Metalwork is beneficial.
  • Highly organised and effective negotiator at all levels.

Working Hours:

Monday - Thursday 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM, Friday 7:30 AM - 12:30 PM

Salary: £40,000 - £46,000
