Job Title: Senior Sous Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Sous Chef to join our team at Searcys, a leading catering and restaurant brand in the UK. As a Senior Sous Chef, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchens, delivering exceptional food quality and service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the kitchen brigade in the absence of the Executive Chef and Head Chef.
  • Assist in the training of junior staff and ensure they are equipped with the skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Liaise with key team members to plan and execute the provision of food in all areas of the business.
  • Place orders directly with suppliers and ensure the smooth running of daily operations.
  • Manage stock levels, including ordering and waste control, to ensure the highest standards of food quality and efficiency.
  • Ensure the presentation of food is consistent with the standards set by senior chefs.
  • Comply with all legal requirements, including fire regulations, security, and health and safety standards.
  • Ensure all Health, Hygiene, and Safety requirements are being adhered to, as described in the Searcy Health & Safety Policy.
  • Demonstrate personal development and take on additional responsibilities as required by senior management.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the production and events profession.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to take the initiative and work independently.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Supportive team player with a positive and cooperative attitude.
  • Ability to work under pressure and cope with unforeseen circumstances.
