Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SEN Class Teacher to join our team at Becker School Batley. As a SEN Class Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons that meet the complex ASC & SEMH needs of our pupils.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lesson Planning and Delivery: Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of our pupils, ensuring they receive a tailored education that promotes engagement, inspires learning, and encourages achievement.
  • Class Team Support: Collaborate with the class team to facilitate learning opportunities and promote positive behaviors among pupils.
  • Progress Reporting and Liaison: Regularly report on pupils' progress and concerns, working closely with other school staff to ensure their needs are met.
  • Supervision and Care: Supervise pupils during non-classroom time, including extra-curricular activities and school trips, maintaining a safe and supportive environment.
  • Pupil Relationships and Learning Outcomes: Foster positive relationships with your pupils, driving interaction and achieving positive learning outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Hold qualified teacher status (QTS) and suitable qualification to degree level.
  • Teaching Experience: Possess previous successful teaching experience, preferably in EYFS, Primary, or KS settings.
  • SEND Experience: Have some previous experience working with pupils with SEND within an educational setting.
  • Behaviour Management: Demonstrate experience of behavior management and techniques.
  • Professional Development: Be committed to ongoing professional development and willing to learn.
  • Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) Check: Must be willing to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check prior to commencing work.

We offer a competitive salary of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
