Role Overview

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support our client schools in Acton.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized support to SEN students, enhancing their learning experience.
  • Assist in lesson delivery, tailoring lessons to meet students' unique needs.
  • Promote positive behaviour, encouraging social interactions and implementing behaviour management strategies as necessary.
  • Support classroom activities, collaborating with the teacher to prepare and adapt learning materials.
  • Monitor student progress, tracking and reporting updates to the teaching team and parents.
  • Foster an inclusive learning environment, ensuring all students feel safe and supported.

Candidate Requirements

  • A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Prior experience working with SEN students, ideally within a school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
  • An understanding of various SEN strategies and the ability to adapt learning approaches accordingly.
