About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practitioner to join our team at Loughborough Urgent Treatment Centre (LUTC). As a Senior Clinician - Primary Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing autonomous clinical services to patients, utilizing advanced skills in assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and referral. Your expertise will enable us to deliver exceptional patient care and improve health outcomes.

Salary:
The estimated salary for this role is £62,484 - £72,865 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. This competitive salary reflects the importance of your contribution to our team's success.

Job Description:
As a Senior Clinician - Primary Care Specialist, you will:
  • Practice autonomously without direct supervision, utilizing advanced clinical skills to assess, diagnose, treat, and refer patients.
  • Recognize the need for, initiate, and interpret relevant diagnostic investigations.
  • Recognize the need for and initiate where appropriate advice of relevant specialisms.
  • Exhibit excellent nonverbal and verbal communication skills when dealing with patients and carers.
  • Make clear decisions with confidence and communicate these effectively.
  • Work within guidelines and policies, supporting the implementation of policies in your work area and participating in working groups as required.
  • Lead and participate in clinical audit cycles as necessary.


Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you must have:
  • A Registered Adult Nurse registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC), a Paramedic registration with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC), or a Pharmacist registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • The right to work in the UK.
  • Registration as an independent non-medical prescriber.
  • A minimum of 2 modules at level 7, including one module that included assessment of clinical examination skills.
  • Substantial autonomous practice, working in a multi-professional team.
  • A broad and sound knowledge of complex and common conditions in primary care for adults and children.
  • Evidence of using autonomous physical examination and assessment skills in practice.
