**Job Overview:** Fitter and Engineer Professional

Vantage Consulting in Northwich is seeking an experienced Fitter and Engineer Professional for a site-based role. You will be responsible for assembling and maintaining complex mechanical equipment.

  • Hold a Level 3 Mechanical Engineering qualification or equivalent, along with hands-on experience in Mechanical Fitting.
  • Able to read and interpret Engineering Drawings, specifications, and work instructions is essential.
  • You will assemble and maintain mechanical equipment, ensuring high-quality results.
  • Align material and fit together parts to build complex units.
  • Suitable for Installations on customer sites with occasional travel (up to 10%).
  • Select or modify components according to measurements and specifications.
  • Perform point of work Risk Assessments, documenting findings and communicating to all.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities and implement changes.
  • Ensure Health & Safety procedures are observed and followed, including safe use of PPE.
  • Complete work safely and on time, reporting details to Supervisors and recording as needed.
  • Familiarity with quality control processes.
  • Excellent communication skills and relationship building abilities.
  • Accurate documentation of HSE records.
  • A recognised Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship, City & Guilds Mechanical qualification, or NVQ Level 3.
  • Experience in a recognised role within the industry.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in capital equipment manufacturing (preferred).

The salary for this position is estimated at £35,000-£45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
