We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our Group HR team at Avant Homes. As an HR Generalist, you will be responsible for providing advice and guidance to employees and managers, as well as carrying out general administrative tasks and duties.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the business manages its people appropriately, adopting best practice and complying with company values and employment legislation.
- Provide advice and guidance on people-related issues to regional businesses and direct managers on best practice.
- Manage case files for disciplinaries, grievances, employment tribunals, and collective and/or individual consultations.
- Coach, support, and challenge managers in the application of HR policies and procedures.
- Monitor and report on employee absenteeism and address any issues promptly.
- Support the delivery of the Health & Wellbeing agenda and manage the relationship with the Occupational Health provider.
- Liaise with Group Payroll on HR and Payroll processing.
- Support the Resourcing team with recruitment processes and best practice.
- Administer new starter and leaver processes, including drafting Offer Letters/Contracts of Employment.
- Facilitate and record data from exit interviews and analyze for trends or insights.
- Proven experience in an operational HR environment, with a focus on Employee Relations.
- Self-sufficient HR Advisor with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Full driving license for occasional travel.
- Current employment law and legislation knowledge.
- CIPD level 5 qualified (desirable).
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
