We are seeking a dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join our team at a reputable school in Barnet North London. As a Year 6 Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching students aged 10-11 and preparing them for their upcoming SATs exams. The successful candidate will be part of a supportive and nurturing work environment that values open communication and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching the Key Stage 2 curriculum to groups of children while focusing on each individual child's learning targets, encouraging their strengths and improving their weaknesses.
  • Pastoral care of children taking their first steps in Key Stage 2, promoting teamwork and cultivating a conducive learning environment.
  • Keeping track of children's progress and occasionally reporting back to parents.

Requirements:

  • A qualified teacher status (QTS) PGCE or equivalent.
  • Experience in teaching Year 6 students and preparing them for SATs exams.
  • A proven track record of delivering high-quality lessons and achieving excellent academic results.
  • A strong understanding of the national curriculum and assessment methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Patience, resilience, and a passion for teaching.
  • A willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues.
