Job Title: Senior Private Client Tax Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Private Client Tax Specialist to join our team at Service Care Solutions Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of compliance cases and supporting private client partners with advisory work.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage a mixed portfolio of personal tax clients, including non-doms, HNWIs, sole-traders, partnerships, and offshore trusts.
  • Assist partners in delivering advisory work, including IHT planning, residence, pre-arrival planning, offshore structures, and planning work for non-doms.
  • Liaise with clients on routine and ad-hoc assignments, including correspondence by email, telephone, and face-to-face meetings.
  • Correspond with HMRC on s9A enquiries and prepare disclosures under the digital disclosure facility.
  • Oversee the collation of information for tax returns, liaising with third-party professionals and clients.
  • Deal with income tax, capital gains tax, and National Insurance, including reviewing PAYE coding notices.
  • Review tax returns prepared by staff for approval and electronic filing.
  • Prioritize and organize work to ensure high standards of client care and meet HMRC deadlines.
  • Billing clients quarterly, including making reserves and updating partners on billing concerns.

Candidate Criteria:

  • CTA Qualified is essential.
  • Minimum 5 years Private Client Tax experience.
  • Experience and knowledge of non-doms and offshore structures.
  • Client-facing experience, including speaking and meeting with clients regularly.
  • Working knowledge of CCH packages and good organizational skills.
  • Great communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
