CNC Setter / Operator Job Description

We are seeking experienced CNC Setter / Operators to join our team at a leading aerospace precision engineering company. As a CNC Setter / Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality precision parts according to specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up CNC machines based on job requirements and technical specifications.
  • Operate CNC milling or turning machines to produce parts within tolerance and to meet quality standards.
  • Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary to ensure optimal performance.
  • Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality and precision standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a CNC Setter / Operator in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the aerospace industry.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a collaborative working environment.
  • Certification or training in CNC machining is a plus.
