About the Role

We are seeking an experienced banker to lead our EMEA Global Corporate Banking Mid Cap Sponsors Coverage team in London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with private equity firms and other financial sponsors, providing tailored financial solutions to meet their needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with private equity firms and other financial sponsors, serving as the primary point of contact for clients and understanding their needs.
  • Identify and originate new business opportunities with mid-cap sponsors, leveraging your expertise in financial products and services.
  • Lead the execution of transactions, including M&A advisory, leveraged finance, and capital markets deals, coordinating with internal teams to ensure smooth execution.
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow the bank's presence and market share in the mid-cap sponsors segment, working closely with investment banking coverage and product bankers.
  • Collaborate with the broader Sponsors team and partners across J.P. Morgan to identify new finance and risk management opportunities.
  • Drive and coordinate the tailored marketing of products, identifying and addressing clients' needs in conjunction with product partners.
Requirements
  • Relevant years of experience in sponsors coverage banking, with a strong understanding of financial products and services.
  • Proven ability to develop client relationships, win new business, close transactions, and build networks, both internally and externally.
  • Solid in-depth knowledge of corporate banking products, including bank loans, bonds, rates, FX, and structured products, cash management, etc.
  • Demonstrates passion to build business and a strong influencing skills, team player, proven track record of managing cross-cultural environments and inter-department collaboration.
  • Knowledge of the mid-cap sponsors sector and existing clients and investor relationships, preferred.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to juggle deliverables for long-term transactions and a busy day-to-day schedule.
  • Willingness to travel internationally and a creative, innovative team player and leader.
