Commercial Estimator

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team at Active Personnel. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of fitout projects from beginning to end. Key responsibilities include:

1. Conducting thorough site surveys and analyzing project specifications.
2. Identifying and managing potential risks throughout the project lifecycle.
3. Developing detailed cost estimates for materials, labour, and subcontractors.
4. Negotiating with subcontractors to ensure cost-effectiveness.
5. Preparing tenders, material take-offs, and final project costs.
6. Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
7. Utilizing strong organizational and communication skills to keep everyone informed.

Requirements of the Estimator:

1. Experience in preparing cost estimates for construction.
2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and construction estimating software.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
5. Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Strong work ethic and a dedication to exceeding client expectations.
