Graduate Cover Teacher - The Role

We are working with secondary schools in Greater Manchester to recruit experienced aspiring teachers for their Teaching Apprentice cohort. As a Graduate Cover Teacher, you will be responsible for covering classes for absent teachers, providing a positive learning environment, and ensuring pupils are learning effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monday to Friday school-based hours
  • Paid per day, including holiday pay
  • Excellent training provided, including cover supervisor training and safeguarding training
  • Covering classes for absent teachers, with pre-planned work provided

Person Specification

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong academic background
  • A degree in Computer Science or a related field, with a minimum of a 2:2
  • A confident and enthusiastic personality
  • Enhanced DBS check required
