ESOL Tutor for Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children

**Job Description:**

We are seeking an experienced ESOL tutor to join our team and provide one-on-one English language instruction to unaccompanied asylum-seeking children. As a tutor, you will be responsible for creating individualized lesson plans, assessing student progress, and adjusting your teaching methods accordingly. Your role will also involve monitoring and reporting on student attendance and performance, as well as collaborating with other educational professionals to support student learning and development.

**Responsibilities:**

• Provide high-quality ESOL instruction to unaccompanied asylum-seeking children
• Create and implement individualized lesson plans based on student needs and abilities
• Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
• Monitor and report on student attendance and performance
• Collaborate with other educational professionals to support student learning and development

**Requirements:**

• Relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, CELTA, TEFL)
• Experience working with vulnerable learners, particularly unaccompanied asylum-seeking children
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to tailor teaching methods to meet individual student needs
• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Previous experience in teaching ESOL to diverse student populations
• Experience in creating and implementing lesson plans
• Knowledge of ESOL teaching methodologies and techniques
• Understanding of the needs of unaccompanied asylum-seeking learners
• Strong organizational and time-management skills

**Working Conditions:**
