Scientific Sampler

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect water samples from various sources, including treatment works, recycling centres, boreholes, reservoirs, and customer properties.
• Conduct on-site chlorine tests and prepare sampling bottles for laboratory analysis.
• Work within regulatory guidelines and quality standards to ensure accurate sample collection and analysis.
• Build effective working relationships with laboratory colleagues and engage with customers to deliver excellent service.
• Represent Anglian Water in a professional and approachable manner.

Requirements:

• A scientific background or A-Level qualification (or equivalent).
• Reliable and professional individual with experience of providing excellent customer service.
• Comfortable with manual lifting and driving throughout the day.
• Flexible and can-do attitude, with ability to work in a variety of environments.
• Strong attention to detail, with ability to work within a defined method and record information accurately.

Additional Information:

Anglian Water is a 365-day-a-year operation, and the successful candidate will be required to take part in a standby rota, which may include weekend and evening sampling. A Basic DBS check will be required, and the candidate must hold a full UK driving licence and live within the Colchester area.
