About the Job

Parkside Recruitment is looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Professional to join their growing clients' IT team. In this role, you will play a key part in managing and maintaining the company's IT infrastructure, ensuring the seamless operation of networks, data centres, servers, and storage systems.

The salary for this position is approximately £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain high-availability IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and storage systems.
  • Monitor systems and swiftly resolve issues to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
  • Configure and manage both physical and virtual server environments.
  • Ensure robust data protection through effective backup and recovery strategies.
  • Oversee the health and safety of data centre operations (power, fire suppression, environmental controls).
  • Provide ongoing support for server administration, virtualization, and cloud-based platforms.
  • Work collaboratively to uphold IT security standards and support business continuity plans.
  • Contribute to network management and ensure smooth operation of connected systems.

Your Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in managing IT infrastructure, including data centres, servers, and storage.
  • Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies and backup.
  • Strong knowledge of server and system administration, both on-premises and in cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with data centre operations, including environmental monitoring, power management, and safety protocols.
  • Skilled in network management and IT security.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus, but not required.
