Maintenance Team Leader Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Team Leader to join our team at TechNichols Resourcing. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Engineering Manager in the day-to-day and strategic management of a department of approximately 18 Multi Skilled (Mechanical / Electrical), Maintenance Engineers.

The role will involve driving and coordinating our CMMS system, actively encouraging and optimising operational performance through regular planned maintenance and improvement activities. This will ensure high levels of plant availability and reliability, allowing production schedules to be met.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing environment, with experience of managing a team of engineers. They will also have a good understanding of health and safety practices, including risk assessments and SOPs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Driving and coordinating our CMMS system
  • Actively encouraging and optimising operational performance
  • Ensuring high levels of plant availability and reliability
  • Managing a team of engineers
  • Developing and driving a culture of continuous improvement
  • Ensuring cost-effective maintenance of equipment, plant, and buildings
  • Providing a timely and efficient breakdown service

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance, with experience of managing a team of engineers. They will also have a good understanding of health and safety practices, including risk assessments and SOPs.
