About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Actuarial Analyst to join our team in the Engineering Line of Business. As a Pricing Actuary, you will play a key role in analyzing portfolio performance, developing pricing models, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze portfolio performance and identify key drivers impacting profitability
  • Develop proposals in collaboration with business owners to mitigate the gap between costed and actual performance
  • Maintain and calibrate parameters for tools and models, create new models, and perform large account case pricing
  • Work with counterparts in Underwriting, Reserving, Claims, and Finance to develop an independent Actuarial Pricing opinion on the portfolio's expected performance
Requirements
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in P&C commercial insurance (preferably in Engineering Line of Business)
  • Experience in commercial insurance pricing, portfolio profitability analysis, and costing model and tool development
  • Good understanding of actuarial methods, models, and related business processes
  • Statistical programming skills (e.g. R, Python) and knowledge of data science techniques is an advantage
