About the Role

Crisis Skylight Croydon is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Lead Worker to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in delivering intensive, person-centred support to individuals experiencing homelessness.

Working closely with internal and external colleagues, you will collaborate to meet the immediate and acute needs of our service users, while also supporting them to take steps towards ending their homelessness. Our approach is bold and adaptable, ensuring that we provide impactful and equitable services that give everyone a fair opportunity to receive the support they need.

As a Lead Worker, you will offer practical support, such as helping service users attend external appointments, open bank accounts, and obtain identification. You will also work closely with our internal clinical psychologists to help service users recognize their strengths and build resilience.

About You
  • You have experience supporting individuals with complex trauma and multiple needs, including mental health, physical health, and substance misuse difficulties.
  • You have worked within a relevant sector, such as domestic violence, women's services, migrants' services, probation, or health services.
  • You have knowledge of relevant housing, homelessness, social care, and welfare legislation.
  • You are a reflective practitioner who welcomes learning through continuous improvement.
