The Arena Racing Company is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join their culinary team at the Royal Windsor Racecourse.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in basic food preparation and handling
- Ensure all kitchen areas are cleaned and cleared to a high standard
- Receive and unload stock deliveries in a timely manner
- Maintain overall kitchen hygiene and cleanliness
- Empty waste bins, sweep and mop floors to maintain a clean environment
- Ensure all equipment is clean and the kitchen is organized
- Deep clean fridges and stock rooms to adhere to kitchen safety standards
Desirable Skills and Qualities:
- Ability to operate basic kitchen appliances and equipment
- Understanding of cleaning kitchen equipment and the two-stage cleaning process
- Knowledge of kitchen health and safety, as well as food hygiene practices
- Good oral communication skills and proficiency in the English language
- Attention to detail and a positive, approachable manner
- Team player qualities and a willingness to work collaboratively
