About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Inspirational Tutor - SEND Support to join our team. As a SEND Specialist Tutor, you will work with children and young people who require additional support to engage in their learning. You will need to be creative, patient, and willing to think outside of the box to cater to individual needs.

The tuition is part-time, taking place during school hours, five days a week. We expect the successful candidate to possess UK classroom teaching experience, QTS or equivalent, and have experience working with challenging behavior and disengaged pupils. PECS/Makaton training is preferred but not essential. The salary for this position is estimated at £25 per hour (negotiable).

Key Responsibilities
  • Create, plan, and deliver 1:1 tailored lessons to meet individual pupil needs
  • Support and re-engage pupils in their learning
  • Offer structure and continue educational development

Requirements

  • QTS or equivalent
  • UK classroom teaching experience
  • Experience working with challenging behavior and disengaged pupils
  • PECS/Makaton training preferred but not essential
