About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Assistant to join our Speech and Language Therapy team. As a Clinical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with complex communication and swallowing needs.
Main Responsibilities
- Work autonomously to meet individual patient needs, providing face-to-face intervention in community settings.
- Support qualified clinicians to deliver training sessions and provide support to patients and their carers.
- Prepare therapy resources, such as communication picture aids, and collate medical information from medical notes, patients, and carers.
- Develop as an integral member of the Adult Speech and Language Therapy team, providing high-quality, person-centered care.
Requirements
- Hold a full UK driving license with access to a vehicle for work purposes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and their carers.
- Quick to report any concerns about patient care and regularly raise questions or ideas relating to the service with the team.
