Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team at ENGINEERINGUK. As a key member of our consult business, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful delivery of construction projects.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to take ownership of project cost management, minimizing risk and enhancing value for our clients. You will work closely with our project teams to prepare estimates, track variations, and provide accurate cost reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Planning and Control: Prepare detailed project costings, including materials, labour, and time, to ensure accurate budgeting and forecasting.
  • Contract Administration: Allocate work to subcontractors, oversee their progress, and manage contractual claims and disputes.
  • Risk Management: Identify, analyze, and develop responses to commercial risks, ensuring our clients' interests are protected.
  • Cost Analysis: Conduct thorough cost analyses for repair and maintenance projects, providing recommendations for optimization.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
  • Strong interpersonal and numerical skills, with the ability to build relationships and analyze data effectively.
  • A creative approach to problem-solving, with excellent project management skills.
  • Detailed knowledge of building and construction technology, processes, materials, business, and legal matters.

Salary and Benefits
