We're looking for a skilled Backend Software Engineer to join our team and help us build high-quality products that touch millions of people every day.

As a Backend Software Engineer at Braintree, you'll work alongside the best and brightest engineering talent in the industry. You'll be responsible for developing and maintaining our distributed systems, ensuring data integrity and performance optimization. You'll also partner closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and reliable software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop high-volume and scalable software using Java, SQL, and ReST.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers, design, product, and other business units to deliver seamless user experiences.
  • Develop and maintain databases, ensuring data integrity and performance optimization.
  • Assist in troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing performance of back-end services.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Graduated between December, 2023 and December, 2024.
  • Strong understanding of server-side languages such as Python, Java, Node.js, or similar.
  • Familiarity with database technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.
  • Understanding of concepts like Web Services, SOA, REST APIs.
