A leading FMCG Packaging manufacturer is seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join their Wrexham factory's Engineering team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for improving asset reliability and efficiency in the department, working closely with the multi-disciplined Engineering team.

Responsibilities:

  • Participating in Continuous Improvement (CI) and Single Minute Exchange of Dies (SMED) activities within the department
  • Diagnosing machine breakdown faults and implementing corrective actions
  • Ensuring compliance with safety requirements and coordinating with other departments as needed
  • Executing planned and unplanned maintenance activities to agreed standards
  • Reporting resources and time utilized, job scope expansion, rework, or deferred maintenance as required

Requirements:

  • Apprentice-trained to ONC/HNC/C&G Level 3
  • Ability to read Hydraulics/Pneumatics circuits and produce mechanical drawings
  • Background in FMCG or fast-paced manufacturing preferred but not essential
