About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dental Practice Manager to join our team at the Ministry of Defence (Defence Medical Services). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing administrative and clinical support for the provision of dental care in Defence Primary Health Care Dental Centres.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise referrals to Specialist Practitioners and Secondary Care facilities, ensuring that patients receive timely and effective treatment.
  • Ensure that systems are in place to allow patients to claim approved costs associated with the provision of dental care, and work with unit admin staff to ensure these costs are correctly audited.
  • Manage dental records, ensuring that they are accurate, up-to-date, and securely stored.
  • Provide administrative support to the Senior Dental Officer and Regional Headquarters, as required.
Requirements
  • Must hold the National Examination Board of Dental Nurses (MEBDN) qualification.
  • Registered with the General Dental Council (GDC).
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience of working in a dental practice or centre, with a strong understanding of dental care and administration.
