Electrical Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at Knight Electrical Switchgear, a leading provider of electrical switchgear and control panels.

Job Purpose

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing low voltage switchboards and similar products to customer specifications, working closely with our CAD department and purchasing team.

Main Duties
  • Designing electrical switchgear and control panels using customer specifications and estimates
  • Compiling parts lists and arranging procurement of materials
  • Communicating requirements to CAD staff and supervisory production staff
  • Managing timelines and ensuring projects are completed to deadline
  • Problem-solving and working to deadlines
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have experience of working with or designing LV switchgear, ability to understand electrical schematics and bills of materials, and commercial awareness. Basic/intermediate use of Microsoft Office and CAD software is also required.
