Main Responsibilities

As a Housing Support Liaison Officer, you will provide high-quality housing and support services to residents in order to assist them in sustaining their tenancies.

  • Assist residents during the move-in and move-out process.
  • Create customized support plans tailored to the individual needs and aspirations of each resident.
  • Act as a keyworker, offering guidance and support to residents in achieving their goals for independent living.
  • Help residents manage their personal finances and maximize their income.
  • Support residents in understanding their rights and responsibilities under their occupancy agreements.
  • Encourage residents to set and achieve personal goals.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and maintain accurate records.
  • Review and update support plans as necessary to reflect changing circumstances.
  • Ensure residents pay their rent on time and assist with benefit claims when needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of property usage and energy consumption.
  • Monitor residents' compliance with occupancy agreements and report any issues to the Service Manager.
  • Take prompt action to address abandoned or damaged properties.
  • Assist residents with budgeting and negotiate with external bodies on their behalf when necessary.
  • Collaborate with external organizations to ensure residents' needs are met.
  • Participate in office duties and provide coverage for colleagues as needed.
General Tasks

In addition to the above responsibilities, you will be expected to:

  • Attend training sessions and team meetings as required.
  • Participate in supervision and perform other duties as needed to support the aims of Target Housing.
